Nollywood Dreams

It’s the nineties in Lagos, Nigeria, and the “Nollywood” film industry is exploding as the second-highest producing film industry in the world. This laugh-out-loud romantic comedy follows the story of Ayamma, a young woman who works with her sister at their parent’s travel agency, who dreams of leaving her job and becoming a star. When she auditions for a new film by Nigeria’s hottest director, tension flares with his former leading lady, and sparks fly with Nollywood’s biggest heartthrob.

Broadway’s Becky Gulsvig debuts her new cabaret show here at freeFall. Tampa Bay audiences have experienced the incredible voice and talent of Becky when she recently starred as Beverley Bass & Others in the National Tour of Come From Away. She also toured through Tampa as Elle Woods in the 1st National tour of Legally Blonde The Musical and Cynthia Weil in Beautiful : The Carole King Musical. Becky’s Broadway credits include the Original Casts of Legally Blonde and (currently) A Beautiful Noise (The Neil Diamond Musical) as well as School Of Rock, Hairspray, and Come From Away. Becky also originated the role of Cinderella in the Off-Broadway delight, Disenchanted! Join Becky for an evening of storytelling and song.
